In terms of gameplay, “30XX” plays similarly to Mega Man: advancing, jumping, and shooting, but within labyrinthine Metroidvania-style and roguelite-style maps (meaning the levels change with each playthrough).
Experts will relish a highly customizable difficulty mode featuring more aggressive and intelligent enemies, along with longer levels. However, no player will be left behind with the Assist mode, which reduces enemy health and enhances your endurance.
“30XX” could be the quintessential “Mega Man” clone to delve into this arcade subgenre, boasting beautiful pixelated graphics. You can already enjoy it on PC (Steam) and it’s soon arriving on Nintendo Switch.
