Hello again, Indie TCG lovers! today we bring you Naruto Mythos, a collectible card game created by the Italian company Cicaboom. The official game website is here. The game debuted in Europe, and now we have the good news that it will expand to include North America and Latin America, so here you can get a glimpse of this game. Its first expansion is Konoha Shidō, which covers emblematic characters from the classic Naruto era, totaling 152 collectible cards.

In our case, we fondly remember Naruto, having started watching it since its release, so having a TCG of the franchise is simply phenomenal. The first thing we want to highlight about this game is that it has enough to be different from others, and this is not easy in this day and age. It’s not the typical game of reducing your opponent’s life; like in the anime, you have to assemble a team of ninjas and complete missions. In the end, the one who gets the most points is the winner. Each player acts as the Kage of their own hidden ninja village. We also like that it’s an easy game to learn, but that doesn’t mean it lacks strategy; on the contrary, you learn from the decisions made during the 4 rounds of the game.

How to Play Naruto Mythos TCG:
Games are fast-paced, meaning more games in less time. In each round, “mission lines” are opened on the field (D-rank, C-rank, B-rank, and A-rank missions). Players must pay Chakra to secretly or face-up deploy their ninjas on these missions. Decks are very compact and dynamic, consisting of 30 cards, allowing a maximum of 2 copies of a specific character version per card. The game allows players to position ninjas face-down, known as “hidden characters”. At the end of the round, the true power of the characters is revealed, strength points are tallied, and the player with the most power wins valuable Mission Points. The player with the most points at the end of the fourth round wins.

The game is about delegating your ninja soldiers to complete missions, focusing on a strategy that will earn you points to win the game before your opponent does. The first expansion, “Konoha Shidō,” is structured into multiple levels of power and rarity, including Common, Uncommon, Rare, Secret, and Legendary cards, with variants like FullArt and Holographic. The most coveted card is the “Legendary Gold Card,” crafted with 22-karat gold foil and individually numbered.

Expansion and Releases:
The Naruto Mythos collectible card game is expanding even further with the announcement of the third expansion “Akatsuki” and new territories. Starting with Set 3 Akatsuki, the collectible card game Naruto Mythos is globalizing in a very special way… by entering the world of Naruto Shippuden for the first time!. Our presence is officially expanding beyond Europe, the United Kingdom, and Turkey, incorporating new territories, including the United States, Canada, Latin America, Australia, and South Africa.
The release schedule for Set 3 Akatsuki is as follows: the pre-release begins on November 7th, and the official release date is November 13th. For the United States and Canadian markets, authorized hobby stores for organized play will have the opportunity to receive the Set 1 – 2nd edition in very limited quantities.
Also, if you are a fan of the anime, you will easily see the good adaptation the game makes of the series. For example, bringing together the team of Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino, and iconic illustrations fulfills the nostalgia of fans. Good news while we wait for the game’s launch in America is that you can try it here , which allows you to play for free against Artificial Intelligence.

Naruto Mythos TCG is a game we highly recommend. Its strategic gameplay mechanics, faithfulness to the Naruto universe, and rapid expansion into new markets make it an exciting proposition for any TCG and anime fan.
