Miguel mentions that this Pokedex was born from Inktober, where a 30-day drawing challenge turned into a 151 day of drawing one pokemon a day, where he developed amazing illustrations of the mythical Kanto creatures.

With this challenge accomplished, Miguel presents us with the next step in his story and that is to create Minimalist Pokedex, a guide to re-discover a region that has left its mark on all of us.
