Devastating!
My thoughts exactly, after seeing this 9″ Metal monster in person. Live from the DC Collectibles booth at New York Toy Fair this year, I interviewed Brian Walters, DCC’s Senior Art Director. I was covering Bat collectibles all day at the fair for C506 and my DC Collecticast podcast. This statue did its job, fulfilled the title of Devastator.
The colossal 1:10 scale Dark Nights Metal Devastator is now in stores, with a release date of September 4th.
According to Brian Walters, “Metal has been a monster hit for the publishing unit. We’re supporting it the best we can from a statue and collectible point of view.”

BW (continued): Perhaps even more impressive is right next door, here is The Devestator. He is giant sized! What’s cool about him, he has a magnetic head so you can kind of repose the direction he’s looking at.
He’s a superimposing figure. You can see that he’s crushing the base, his base that he stands on down below. Same sized base as everybody else, so for scale, you can really see how much larger he is than everyone else.
Slightly higher price point, but you’re getting a lot more statue with it.
The exact price point would be $130.00 US, and the man is right: more money means more devastating statue.
DC Collectibles Dark Nights: Metal Devastator is now available in stores and online! Find your local geek store at comicshoplocator.com. The insanely detailed statue is designed by Dark Nights: Metal comic artist himself, Greg Capullo. From DC Collectibles: “Greg Capullo’s art is beloved among fans, and his Nightmare Batmen have quickly found an avid following.” A stellar sculpt by Jason Frailey, limited edition of 5,000 units, The Devastator is made of polyresin.
