Jason Blum’s got a great eye for talent. From WHIPLASH to HAPPY DEATH DAY to GET OUT and dozens of other incredible films, he and his company Blumhouse have helped bring a new generation of talented writers, performers, and filmmakers to our big (and small) screens.
And that’s what he’s doing once again in October with the help of our friends at Fantastic Fest and Fangoria – a series of four free watch parties for “Welcome to the Blumhouse”, Amazon Prime Video and Blumhouse Television’s series of unique, unsettling original genre thrillers featuring a diverse set of casts and filmmakers. The Amazon Prime Video watch parties will kick-off exclusively via Amazon Watch Party with THE LIE on October 10th and BLACK BOX on October 11th, followed by NOCTURNE on October 17th and EVIL EYE on October 18th.
Each free Watch Party event will feature exclusive post-screening Q&As between each filmmaker and moderators that include acclaimed filmmakers Aneesh Chaganty (SEARCHING), Karyn Kusama (GIRLFIGHT, THE INVITATION, DESTROYER), and BLACK CHRISTMAS screenwriter April Wolfe. (Also, keep an eye on @Fantastic.Fest on Instagram for pre-show filmmaker chats.)
Here’s how the at-home Watch Parties work. Each evening at 5:30pm PT / 8:30pm ET, viewers can attend these exclusive watch parties via Amazon Video Watch Party. To get access, first make sure you’ve got access to Amazon Prime Video, then RSVP via Facebook Events. Once the Watch Party link is live, we’ll share in the Facebook events.
