DYNAMITE LAUNCHES COMIC KICKSTARTER EXTRAVAGANZA!

Dynamite Entertainment has announced an exciting new Kickstarter that allows fans to immerse themselves in thrilling Pathfinder and Starfinder graphic novels. The campaign, live now, intends to produce hardcover editions of the fantasy comic Pathfinder: Wake the Dead and the science-fantasy Starfinder: Angels of the Drift, as well as a collection of the Pathfinder: Worldscape crossover specials. As a bonus, backers will receive playable RPG content included in each volume, extra incentive digital downloads, and more. From high fantasy to science fiction, there’s an adventure for every kind of gamer and reader.

Pathfinder comics make their return with Wake the Dead, the eighth volume in the line. Longtime gamer and comics veteran Fred Van Lente (Amazing Spider-Man, Marvel Zombies) tackles this latest epic, alongside artist Eman Casallos (Vampirella).

“I’m thrilled to be back writing Pathfinder comics, and even more excited to be writing a whole new party meeting and adventuring together for the very first time,” said Van Lente.

In Wake the Dead, a party of adventuring heroes sets out on a quest to rendezvous with a defector of Geb, who has priceless secrets from that undead nation. When the team find themselves cornered by the city’s remorseless Deathsealers, can they band together for survival and escape a city full of hostile wizards alive?

The public On Sale Date for individual volumes of Wake the Dead is 5/24/2023.

Starfinder: Angels of the Drift is the first-ever comic series set in the titular science-fantasy roleplaying game’s sprawling and diverse Pact Worlds setting. Built on a foundation of the Pathfinder setting flung far into the future, Starfinder blends magic and technology, elves and aliens. Starfinder’s first, now former, Creative Director James L. Sutter writes the series, alongside artist Edu Menna (Army of Darkness).

“Starfinder is all about exploring the galaxy and having epic adventures, but at the end of the day it’s also about your real-world experience as a player, sitting around a table having fun with your friends,” said Sutter. “I think the comic zeroes in on that feeling of camaraderie—the banter, the conflict, but also the knowledge that no matter how high the stakes get, your friends have your back. That heart is just as important as the daring laser battles and captivating alien worlds.”

Angels of the Drift stars a colorful cast of heroes that pulled together by a disaster in the hyperspace dimension known as the Drift, which has completely thrown off the galaxy’s ability to travel between worlds safely.

The public On Sale Date for individual volumes of Angels of the Drift is 6/21/2023.

Pathfinder: Worldscape Volume 3 will bind together many never before collected and now hard to find multiversal crossovers, including Worldscape: Vampirella, Worldscape: Dejah Thoris, Worldscape: Reanimator, and Worldscape: Swords of Sorrow. The collection features adventures written by Paizo’s Chief Creative Officer and Publisher Erik Mona, alongside other talented artists.

Backers for each volume on Kickstarter will receive PDF downloads of official Paizo rulebooks.

Pathfinder: Wake the Dead is bundled with the Pathfinder Second Edition Core Rulebook.
Starfinder: Angels of the Drift is complemented by the Starfinder Core Rulebook.
Worldscape is accompanied by the Pathfinder Second Edition Bestiary.
Fans who pledge for all three hardcovers will also receive the Starfinder Alien Archive.

Kickstarter supporters can also add previous volumes of Pathfinder comics to their pledge, including the recent Pathfinder: Fumbus special, and other fun add-on options.
